Someone sees your nickname, opens nickradar, searches for it and sends you an anonymous request with a short message.

You say yes or no. Both say yes → 48h chat opens. Chat, meet, connect. After 48h it's gone. Ephemeral by design.

Location Data
Location data is collected exclusively at the time a message is sent and displayed to the chat partner. No continuous location tracking takes place.
Legal Basis
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). Location data is processed on the basis of explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Data Sharing
No automatic sharing with third parties. Data is only exchanged between chat participants. Exception: location data is automatically transmitted within an active chat.
In cases involving criminal offences, data may be disclosed upon official request.
HTTPS encryption. Passwords hashed with bcrypt. JWT authentication.
§ 1 Scope
These Terms of Service apply to the use of the nickradar platform at nickradar.com and app.nickradar.com. By registering, you accept these terms in full.
§ 2 Registration
Minimum age: 18 years
Registration and app download are free
One account per person
Nickname must be unique and non-offensive (max. 20 characters)
A valid email address is required
Payment method is only required upon first Contacting Request (Seeker) or first YES (Target)
§ 3 Pricing and Payment
Seeker: EUR 3.00 per Contacting Request — charged only on mutual YES
Target: EUR 1.50 per acceptance (YES) — charged only on own YES
No match — no cost for either party
Automatic payment via Stripe upon mutual YES
No refunds after a successful match and chat start
No subscriptions, no hidden costs
nickradar reserves the right to adjust prices at any time. Registered users will be informed in advance.
§ 4 Contacting Rules
Requests remain active for 12 hours
A mutual YES opens a 48-hour chat
NO: permanent mutual block — no further interactions possible
EXPIRED (no reply): no cost — both parties may send new requests
No reply does not count as rejection
Accounts without any completed transaction within 6 months of registration are automatically deactivated and deleted after a further 90 days — nickname is released
§ 5 Community Rules
No harassment, no spam, no abuse
No false information about yourself
No commercial activities without permission
No sharing of illegal or discriminatory content
Each user is responsible for their messages and profile content
Violations result in immediate and permanent account suspension
§ 6 Awareness and Personal Responsibility
By publicly displaying an NR nickname, the user explicitly agrees to being contactable via nickradar — and also to potentially being approached in person, including by strangers.
nickradar is not liable for events that occur between users. Each user acts at their own responsibility.
§ 7 Platform Liability
nickradar provides technical infrastructure only. nickradar is not a party to contacts between users and is not liable for any resulting damages.
§ 8 Termination and Deletion
Account can be deleted at any time in the app. Accounts without any completed transaction within 6 months of registration are automatically deactivated. All data is permanently deleted after a further 90 days. Re-registration is possible at any time — however, the original nickname may already be taken. nickradar reserves the right to suspend accounts for violations without prior notice.
§ 9 Applicable Law
Austrian law applies. Place of jurisdiction: Austria.
